SUMMARY:Srimad Bhagavad Gita by Swami Mahaprajnananda
DESCRIPTION:The Bhagavad Gita\, popularly known as the Gita\, comprises eighteen chapters in the Mahabhārata. It takes the form of an inspired dialogue between Sri Krishna and Arjuna on the battle-field of Kurukshetra. The setting of the battle-field contributes a dramatic element to the book and relates religion to the realities of life. It is that living dialogue which the discerning man finds going on constantly in his own heart between his everyday worldly self and his higher Self. \nThe Gita is one of the most important religious classics of the world. The Gita is a compendium of the essential meaning of the Vedas\, India’s Book of Wisdom. \nNo amount of critical study or hearing\, however\, will enable a reader to grasp the real meaning of the Gita unless he/she is equipped with the four qualifications laid down for the spiritual aspirant. He must possess the power of discriminating between the Real and the unreal; he must cultivate will to renounce the unreal; he must be endowed with the “six spiritual virtues\,” namely\, control of the senses\, control of the mind\, forbearance\, withdrawal from the distracting objects of the world\, faith\, and one-pointedness of mind; lastly\, he must have an intense longing for liberation from the illusory experiences of the relative world. Equipped with these four qualifications\, he may come to understand the profound meaning of the scripture. Spirituality is the transformation of life\, not the satisfaction of intellectual curiosity. It is being and becoming\, not mere knowing. Really to know God is to be God. \n~ Swami Nikhilananda\, 1943

SUMMARY:Ram Nam Sankirtanam by Monks & Brahmacharins
DESCRIPTION:  \n \n  \nThe singing of Ramnam Sankirtan in the centres of the Ramakrishna Order was started by none other than Swami Brahmananda. \nRama’s name is often chanted or sung within the many traditions of Hinduism. \nIn Mahabharata\, Shiva states that uttering “Rama” three times is equal to pronouncing the thousand other names of God. \n“Ram Naam Satya Hai” (transl. The name of Ram is the truth) is commonly chanted by Hindus while carrying a dead body to be cremated. SUMMARY:Ma-Nama Sankirtanam by Monks & Brahmacharins
DESCRIPTION:Endearingly known as ‘Holy Mother’\, Sri Sarada Devi\, the spiritual consort of Sri Ramakrishna\, was born on 22 December 1853 in a poor Brahmin family in Jayrambati\, a village adjoining Kamarpukur in West Bengal \nIn the history of humanity there has never been another woman who looked upon herself as the Mother of all beings\, including animals and birds\, and spent her whole life in serving them as her children\, undergoing unending sacrifice and self-denial. About her role in the mission of Sri Ramakrishna on earth\, she stated: “My son\, you know the Master had a maternal attitude (matri-bhava) towards every one. He has left me behind to manifest that Divine Motherhood in the world.”

SUMMARY:Shivananda Vani By Swami Satwatananda
DESCRIPTION:A spiritually illumined soul who has scaled the depths of the Divine is a constant source of inspiration to countless other seekers. Swami Shivananda\, a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna\, was such a person whose simple conversations with spiritual seekers were treasured by them as unfailing blessings for the rest of their life. \nSwami Shivananda\, the second President of the Ramakrishna Math and Ramakrishna Mission\, was born on Saturday\, 16 December 1854\, at Barasat in North 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. His pre-monastic name was Taraknath Ghosal. \nSwami Shivananda\, popularly known as Mahapurush Maharaj\, became the Vice President of the Order on 25 August 1910. After the demise of Swami Brahmananda\, he became the President of the Order\, in May 1922. The remarkable features of his character were his childlike simplicity\, unshaken faith in God and overflowing love for all. In many respects he was compared with Shiva. His faith in God remained unshaken even amidst trials and tribulations.

SUMMARY:Chaitanya Charitamrita by Swami Tattwasarananda
DESCRIPTION:The Chaitanya Charitamrita (Sanskrit: चैतन्यचरितामृत\, romanized: Caitanya-caritāmṛta; Bengali: চৈতন্যচরিতামৃত\, romanized: Côitônyôcôritamṛtô)\, composed by Krishnadasa Kaviraja in c. 1557\, is written in Bengali with a great number of Sanskrit verses in its devotional\, poetic construction\, including Shikshashtakam. It is one of the primary biographies detailing the life and teachings of Caitanya Mahāprabhu\, the founder of Gaudiya Vaishnavism. SUMMARY:Swami Turiyananda's Life by Swami Indreshananda
DESCRIPTION:  \n\n\n \nSwami Turiyananda (1863-1922) was a direct disciple of Sri Ramakrishna\, and one of the earliest monks of the Ramakrishna Order. He was born as Harinath Chattopadhyay in a small village in present-day Bangladesh\, and was attracted to spiritual life from a young age. \nAs a young man\, Turiyananda traveled to Calcutta (now Kolkata) to study\, and soon became a devotee of Sri Ramakrishna\, whom he met for the first time in 1882. He became a frequent visitor to the Dakshineswar Kali Temple\, where Sri Ramakrishna lived and taught\, and was deeply influenced by the Master’s teachings and spiritual presence. \nAfter Sri Ramakrishna’s passing\, Turiyananda joined the monastery founded by Swami Vivekananda in Baranagar\, and was one of the first disciples to take vows of monasticism. He was a deeply introspective and contemplative monk\, and spent many years in intense spiritual practice and study. \nIn 1897\, Turiyananda accompanied Swami Vivekananda to the West\, and spent several years traveling and teaching in America. He was known for his simplicity\, humility\, and deep spirituality\, and his teachings on Vedanta and Yoga had a profound impact on many Western students. \nIn later years\, Turiyananda spent much of his time in seclusion\, and continued to deepen his spiritual practice until his passing in 1922. He was known for his profound spiritual insights\, and his teachings on the nature of the Self and the path to spiritual realization continue to inspire seekers around the world. \nOverall\, Swami Turiyananda’s life was a testament to the transformative power of spiritual practice and the teachings of Sri Ramakrishna. His dedication\, humility\, and spiritual insight continue to serve as a source of inspiration for those on the path of spiritual seeking. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nRegenerate response

SUMMARY:Ma-Nama Sankirtanam (Sri Sarada Nama Sankirtanam) by Monks & Brahmacharins
He has left me behind to manifest that Divine Motherhood in the world.” \nSri Sarada Nama Sankirtanam Lyrics in Devanagari with English Transliteration (Ma-Nama Sankirtanam)

SUMMARY:Isha Upanishad (Īśopaniṣad) by Swami Vedatitananda
DESCRIPTION:Isha Upanishad or Īśopaniṣad holds a pre-eminent position in the age-old spiritual tradition of India. It forms the last chapter of the Shukla Yajur Veda Samhita. The message of this small Upanishad\, having only eighteen verses\, is as profound as it is all-comprehensive. It proclaims the divinity of man and nature and the spiritual oneness of all existence. It asserts that God is enveloping everything\, nay more\, God is in everything. It can be said that this Upanishad provides the fundamental theme of Vedantic thought.

This recitation implies that the dead body no longer sustains the truth (breath) which is Ram. \nRam Nam Sankirtanam Lyrics in Devanagari or Bengali or English — \nRam-Nam-Sankirtan-Devanagari          Ram-Nam-Sankirtan-Bengali \nRam-Nam-Sankirtan in English with Meaning

SUMMARY:শ্রীকৃষ্ণ: একটি অনন্য জীবন (On Life of Sri Krishna) by Swami Urjitananda
DESCRIPTION:A special talk on Sri Krishna’s life in the holy week of Krishna Janmashtami. \nSwami Vivekananda on Sri Krishna ~ \n“Shri Krishna is the God of the poor\, the beggar\, the sinner\, the son\, the father\, the wife\, and of everyone. He enters intimately into all our human relations and makes everything holy and in the end brings us to salvation. He is the God who hides himself from the philosopher and the learned and reveals himself to the ignorant and the children. He is the God of faith and love and not of learning. With the Gopis\, love and God were the same thing—they knew Him to be love incarnate.” \n“He (Krishna) was the most wonderful Sannyasin\, and the most wonderful householder in one; he had the most wonderful amount of Rajas\, power\, and was at the same time living in the midst of the most wonderful renunciation.\nKrishna can never he understood until you have studied the Gita\, for he was the embodiment of his own teaching.”
